IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT PRIMOS
We would like to commend the staff on duty when the storm hit our Primos center on Thursday, June 24th. Their quick thinking and calm, deliberate reactions resulted in all 52 children and 11 staff members escaping the building without a single scratch. Although the staff routinely practice emergency evacuation procedures which require us to relocate to Primos Elementary School, it was immediately obvious that to do so would have put the children at further risk. The decision to go to the building next door was made quickly and we appreciate the help provided by Aardvark's staff.
At this time the property at 723 Secane Avenue is not suitable for use. We have already located a new property and are working with the Department of Public Welfare and the office of State Rep. Nick Micozzie to quickly obtain the proper approval to utilize this building. It is our hope to be on site at this new location by the end of this week.
The beautiful new property, located at 301 E. Berkley Avenue in Clifton Heights, is the former Sacred Heart School and is located less than one mile from the Primos location. It is large enough to accommodate all of our families and assure you it will be a STAR 4 program like the one at Primos.
We appreciate your patience while we take the steps necessary to move into this new property and will move quickly to ensure you as little inconvenience as possible. Until we are in the new building the children will be accommodated at two separate and the Primos staff will be at both sites:
Infants through Preschool aged children
Main Campus - 235 Sharon Avenue, Sharon Hill (610)-583-1276
Summer Campers
Sharon Hill Elementary School - 701 Coates St., Sharon Hill
610-522-4300 x 4523 OR (610)-532-5313
To make things as easy as possible for parents of campers with younger children, you may drop all children at the Main Campus and we will walk the campers to Sharon Hill Elementary School at 9:00am. Campers who will be arriving after 9am must be brought directly to the Elementary School by their parents. All campers should be picked up from Sharon Hill School at the end of the day.
We will continue to keep you informed as our efforts progress and new information will be posted on our website as it becomes available. Once again thank you for the patience and understanding you have shown as we work to resolve all of these issues quickly and with the children's best interest in mind.
