Infant Program
Our infant care program offers a warm and nurturing environment in which the children are read to, talked to and rocked in loving arms. The materials in the infant room are chosen to help your child develop his/her cognitive, language, perceptual-motor, physical and social skills. Our goals include assisting your child in the process of learning about themselves and others, their feelings, communicating as well as fine and gross motor development and the acquisition of thinking skills.
Each day you will receive a written report explaining your child's eating, diapering and sleeping habits for that day as well as special remarks from your child's educator. This report will be placed in your child's cubby each day. Remember to check your family folder (located in the Parent Information area) also. All important paperwork from the office will be placed in these folders, so please check it daily.
Parents are responsible for providing clean sheets and a blanket for their child's crib each Monday morning. Sheets must be tight on the mattress; Port-a-crib sheets are the correct size sheet to buy in order to properly fit. In addition to sheets, parents must provide diapers, wipes, a complete change of clothing and bibs. Specific schedules for formula, food and sleeping must be provided in writing upon enrollment in this class. Today's Child does provide formula plus baby food as part of our meal program.
Please remember to label your child's belongings including bottles. Please bring enough bottles each day to meet your baby's needs. As your child becomes old enough to drink out of a cup, you may bring in a labeled sippy cup for use during the day.
