Staff Qualifications at Today's Child Learning Center
Educational Requirements
We require all of our teaching staff to possess specialized education and certifications that align with the standards of early childhood and elementary education. The qualifications for various roles within our organization are as follows:
Lead Teachers
- Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Certifications: State teaching certification (where applicable). CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of classroom experience is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership abilities, curriculum development skills, and a deep understanding of child development.
Assistant Teachers
- Educational Requirements: An Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
- Certifications: CDA certification or equivalent, with a willingness to pursue further education. CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Experience: Some experience working with children in a classroom setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Supportive teaching methods, ability to work under the guidance of Lead Teachers, and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
Teacher Aides
- Educational Requirements: High school diploma or GED, with some coursework in early childhood education preferred. Must show a willingness to pursue further education.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Experience: Prior experience in a child care setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Patience, creativity, and the ability to assist with classroom activities and manage small groups of children.
